FAQs
This is a matter of preference. I prefer high quality beef that’s free of hormones and fillers. Take a look at the options in your grocery store and choose an all-beef burger.
Most frozen burgers you buy in the store should be gluten-free. However, some may have breadcrumbs or other additives as fillers. Read your label to be sure your burgers don’t contain gluten, just to be sure.
There are lots of great brands to choose from, and even store brands (like the Kroger ones in this post) cook up great burgers! We also enjoy the Great Value Walmart burgers. Costco 1/4 lb and 1/3 lb burgers are excellent quality. Bubba Burgers are also a popular choice. Choose what fits your budget and read the label to make sure you’re getting the quality you want.
Most burgers are sold in 1/4 lb patties and these are typically a good-sized serving. You may also find 1/3 lb burger patties. If you want them well done, add 1-2 minutes cook time per side.
You can use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. Stick the meat thermometer into the very center of the burger. A well-done burger temperature will read 160°F or above.
If you don’t have a thermometer, cut into the center of your burger and make sure there’s no pink remaining.
How to Store Leftover Burgers
