Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen tilapia
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 medium lime

Instructions

  • Prep the frozen tilapia. Brush the fish with olive oil. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Cook. Turn the air fryer to 400°F and cook for 10-12 minutes or until the fish flakes easily. Squeeze fresh lime juice on top and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use paper towels to pat down the tilapia before you brush it with oil. This removes excess moisture and helps develop a perfect crisp on the outside.
  • Leave room in the air fryer between the fish for more even cooking. Work in batches if necessary.
  • Make sure your tilapia reaches 145°F inside. If you don't have a thermometer, make sure the thickest part of the fish looks dry and flaky, and not shiny or meaty.
  • Try not to overcook tilapia, as it can quickly become dry and rubbery. Check it at 10 minutes, then cook a few minutes longer, if necessary.
